How can you keep from knocking other skaters like you did at 10:30 and 10:38 ...? Though I'm still very junior, I would say that's great job. At times I run into (mildly though) other skaters when doing bwd. I tried my best to look bwd but you know, like driving, there's blind spot. You can't possibly be aware of everyone behind you. There was a time my tail bwd as I did a waltz exit, my skate almost stabbed another teen at my back. It sent shivers down my spine.

Such crowded ice! And I noticed you weren't able to do any safe run ups to jumping passes. Is that just cause it was a little too crowded, or on some ice (like your home ice) is there etiquette / an understanding that like, one side or certain areas are for people to jump?

Wow! Thanks for showing us the Olympic park. They really did a lot to utilize things for visitors, like the bobsled track ride. And the museum was really beautiful. But even so, I have to say, seeing many things in disrepair, I wish they wouldn't just build and abandon these giant sites every 2 years, but figure out some better way to do it.

Sadly this wasn’t the case for me 😅🙃 When I was younger I moved over 1000 kilometres away and I joined a new skating club, I had been skating for 5 years. When I joined the nee club it was really intense. It was a really competitive club, I can be very competitive but I never planned on trying to go to the olympics or making skating what I do for a living. I couldn’t skate fast enough, I wasn’t flexible enough, and I was really far behind since my old club only skated for half the year. I started dreading practice and the stress started interfering with school. After months at this new club I still felt out of place since none of the coaches tried to make connections with me ( or any of the other skaters ). Eventually I had to choose if I wanted to keep skating or if I wanted to stop, and if I chose to stop I couldn’t really go back since I would be EXTREMELY behind. At this point my mental health wasn’t good and I had heard that there had been 2 $h00ting$ where I used to live, one near my friends house. Eventually I chose to stop skating, I considered english riding ( horse back riding ) and then attending public skates to skate for fun with my mom. Now hearing songs I used to skate to or seeing something that has to do with skating makes me want to cry since skating was where I dealt with my anxiety and it soon became what caused it. I truly wish I could skate again but at this point I don’t think I can. ❤
